The architecture of this home was inspired by one request: we want a statement staircase. The stair column extends through all three levels and breaks past the roofline, capped off by a full length skylight that floods the stairwell. The use of glass stairs treads brings light throughout the home, all the way down into the basement. The young couple's love of all things grey+white inspired the material selections throughout. Custom details are found in every single room of this home, notably the entire stair system and stone details, the lighting sculpture, the steel office shelving/room divider, the full-length concrete countersink in the powder bathroom, and the 4' barn door dividing the master bedroom and bathroom. We played a large role in managing this project and were able to successfully execute many complicated details throughout. The Design/Build nature of this project yielded amazing results that would have otherwise been difficult to achieve.
