Hilltop Spec
Completed in 2014, this home was a bit ahead of its time, when modern architecture was just starting to become a force in the Denver market. The home is anchored by a white steel "ribbon" stair that connects all four levels , conveying an irony of so much strength in such minimal form. The house changes experientially throughout the day, highlighting the undeniable relationship of architecture to light and form. We used mirrors, glass, textures, light fixtures, and perforated metal to allow a variety of opportunities for light to reflect, refract, and cast shadows throughout the space.
